The incredible Captain Eric 'Winkle' Brown has been invited to share his memories and music on the BBC's Desert Island Discs hosted by Kirsty Young.
Born in 1919 Eric Brown still holds many aviation records including having flown 487 different types of aircraft and the world record for the most number of carrier landings (2,407).
In 1945 he became the first pilot to land on and take-off from an aircraft carrier in a jet aircraft.

Captain Eric Brown died on the 21st of February, 2016. He was 97 years old.
